The 2015 Event Planning Information
The planning committee is in the third year of planning an event to follow on the success of the 2006, 2009, and 2012 Events where over 40 1st, 2nd, and 3rd generation Kinneys had a roaring good time. We have decided to hold the Family Reunion July 30 - August 2, 2015 in WA. We decided early on that we want to provide a reunion which focuses on the sharing of time together rather than seeing the sites. We also decided that we wanted to select a location which made it possible for west coast families to attend. The Place

Welcome to Mounthaven! We will gather there on Thursday July 30 through Sunday morning August 2 and enjoy what they call their "True Mountain Hospitality Since 1932"
Mounthaven Resort offers 9 family friendly cabins and 16 RV sites on 7 beautiful acres of towering cedars with two mountain creeks and a pond. This quiet refuge is just 1/2 mile from the Nisqually entrance to Mt. Rainier National Park. A great place to relax and enjoy the peaceful, natural surroundings. http://www.mounthaven.com. Towering western red cedars, vine maple, and alder trees provide a forest backdrop for two mountain creeks and a pond. A movie of the location is at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=pFDfHGyBJc0.Different people are planning events.

- if you do not yet have a reunion assignment, we will be contacting you shortly
- We are asking each family to bring at least one item for a silent auction and one item for live kiddie auction:
- Something to auction off, such as a hobby, food or souvenirs representative of your hometown, Kinney family memorabilia, etc.
- Something to auction off for the kiddie auction, small, inexpensive items are appropriate

The Event
As we all plan for this coming reunion, it is good for us to think about what makes taking kids on a vacation go smoothly. Here is one website which has some suggestions.
